52 Projects Calls For Participation

Brought My Lunch

  • Brought My Lunch is a photo group to showcase the lunch you brought to work. The goal is to create an incentive to 1) bring lunch to work (instead of buying expensive, less healthy meals around the office) and 2) to bring better lunches to work, lunches that are worthy of not just eating, but photographing. So pack that lunch, break out your camera, and submit your photos to the group pool.

Amanda Blake Soule's The Creative Family

Today is the publication date of Amanda Blake Soule's wonderful new book -- The Creative Family. (Congratulations Amanda!)

Here is the praise I heaped on this truly inspiring book:

"Amanda Soule has created a wonderful guide that nourishes the wellspring of creativity already inherent in the family dynamic. She encourages discovery, ingenuity, sharing, and celebration in a way that helps each family member grow, while simultaneously bringing the whole family closer together. A truly meaningful book for and about that which we hold dearest."

More info on the book is here, and of course, I do recommend that you go buy a copy right now.

Rosa Murillo's Found Art Tuesdays

Be sure to check out Rosa Murillo's Found Art Tuesday project, where she makes art and then leaves it in public places for others to find. And do watch the video below in which Rosa documents the creation of one of her recent Found Art Tuesday pieces. (Special thanks to Robayre for reminding me about Rosa's wonderful project.)

Learning To Love You More -- The Book

The Learning To Love You More book, from Harrell Fletcher and Miranda July, is absolutely wonderful -- an inspiring project-makers' art book, perfect for displaying on a coffee table or the shelf above the desk where you get work done. It features selected "assignment" reports from the learningtoloveyoumore.com site. I'm really excited to have one of the reports (#37) I submitted showcased in the book -- "Write down a recent argument."

Anyway, the Learing To Love You More book has been out since September. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to seek it out -- it's definitely worth adding to your bookshelf/coffee table/studio library.

And here are some great photos by Kathy Lo taken at the journal Gallery celebrating the publication of the book back in October.
