52 Projects Calls For Participation

Brought My Lunch

  • Brought My Lunch is a photo group to showcase the lunch you brought to work. The goal is to create an incentive to 1) bring lunch to work (instead of buying expensive, less healthy meals around the office) and 2) to bring better lunches to work, lunches that are worthy of not just eating, but photographing. So pack that lunch, break out your camera, and submit your photos to the group pool.

Good Mornings in India

Good Morning, Delhi. Before the crack of dawn there is the hum of generators and chanting and drums and traffic, and yet still there is a crisp morning stillness.

Good Morning, Goa. One of the benefits of jet lag was being up to catch the sunrise and walk the mostly empty beach, busy only with the fishermen, the stray dogs, and the cows.

Good Morning, Mumbai. So many people, all the time. You haven't seen a packed train until you've seen the commuter trains in Mumbai.

Good Morning, Rajasthan. No tiger sightings for us, but beauty all around, especially as the sun came up.

The Back and Forth Project

Found via Craftypod: The Back and Forth Project -- a blog that is chronicling the collaborative effort between two friends -- Shannon Lowry and Kathie Sever -- to create and publish a DIY children's book. Read about how it got started here.

Be sure to also check out Shannon and Kathie's Friend Friday project -- "a tribute to the physicality of moving something back and forth between two people -- and utilizing the internet as a means to document the beauty of getting back to a more multi-sensory, visceral experience of staying connected." Details on how to participate and submit can be found here.
